Stratfield Saye Education Trust Funds for Ex Curricula Childrens' Activity

The Parish of Stratfield Saye is located in North Hampshire, about 10 miles from Reading and from Basingstoke.

The central part of the Parish comprises the hamlet of Stratfield Saye, with West End Green to the west, Fair Oak Green in the south west and Fair Cross in the north. The northern boundary is along the Devil’s Highway, the route of the Roman road from Silchester to London.

To the east is Stratfield Saye House. This was originally built by the Pitt family around 1630. In 1817 it became the home of the Duke of Wellington, gifted to the family by the state following the Battle of Waterloo.

In Stratfield Saye there is the village hall and recreation ground, as well as the local pub, the Iron Duke.

The Parish is within the Bramley ward of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. The local ward councillors are Cllr Chris Tomblin, Cllr Tony Durrant and Cllr Keith Oborn. 

The Parish is represented at Hampshire County Council by Cllr Rhydian Vaughan.

The Parish also lies within the Parliamentary constituency of North East Hampshire. The MP is Alex Brewer.
